Foundation
Your price includes a foundation up to three cinder
blocks high. Foundation height and construction
are regulated by Orleans Parish City Hall. In
order to get flood insurance, the foundation must
pass an Orleans Parish building inspection. In
order to pass this inspection, a civil engineer
is hired by Louisiana Modular to do two things:
1) Create
a detailed construction drawing of how to build
the foundation.
2) Dictate
to Louisiana Modular the height of the foundation.
We at Louisiana Modular
pride ourselves on our workmanship and our relationship
with Orleans Parish building inspectors. Our construction
background allows us to properly install your
foundation in a timely manner.
Site
Requirements
The last inspection
Louisiana Modular has before we turn a home over
to our customers is called the Certificate of
Occupancy inspection. The requirements of the
Certificant of Occupancy is that your sidewalk
and driveway are not cracked and that your lot
drains to the street and not on to your neighbors.
A site inspection by a Louisiana Modular team
member will help you understand what the city
will specifically require of your site.
